Tank Dell’s Injury Update and Fantasy Outlook

The Texans' sophomore wide receiver has returned to organized team activities. When should you draft him?

Tank Dell had an impressive rookie season that was cut short by a broken leg in December, and fantasy managers will never forget it.

After seeing highlight film after highlight clip of CJ Stroud connecting with Houston's third-round pick, it was devastating to see Dell taken off the field during the Texans' surprise playoff drive against the Broncos on December 9th.

Prior to his injury, Dell outperformed WR Nico Collins in a number of key stats. Dell led the squad with a target share of 22.5%, compared to Collins' 22.1%, and he had a big advantage in air yards share: 35.9% to 25.3%.

Prior to his injury, Dell was one of the season's most effective waiver wire selections.

Dell had almost fully healed from his leg injury when he suffered another strange leg injury last month, this time from a bullet wound during a bar shooting in Florida.

Fortunately, as Dell himself stated, this was a "wrong place at the wrong time" accident that was not serious.

However, the good news is that Dell was a full participant in all OTAs for the Texans just three weeks after his gunshot wound, and all reports are that he returned at high speed.
