Selena Gomez's New Cooking Show 'Selena + Restaurant' Premiere Date and Her Escape from the Kitchen

Selena Gomez eventually leaves home. After four seasons of her pandemic-born HBO Max show "Selena + Chef," shot entirely in her personal kitchen, the "Only Murders in the Building" star will begin her new series "Selena + Restaurant" on May 2.

Two back-to-back episodes will broadcast on Food Network at 7 and 7:30 p.m. ET and on Max.

In the first season of "Selena + Restaurant," Gomez and her "Selena + Chef" co-star, Raquelle Stevens, will collaborate with chefs from various Los Angeles restaurants, including Ms Chi, Alta, Girl & the Goat, Moo's Craft Barbecue, Wolfgang Puck at CUT, and Lemon Grove.

Besides taking place outside of Gomez's house, this new show will feature Gomez learning to cook in professional kitchens and striving to produce a distinctive dish for the restaurant's menu.

As on "Selena + Chef," each chef will choose a charity to receive a donation from "Selena + Restaurant."

At Puck's CUT Steakhouse in Beverly Hills, Gomez must pass a "initial test and master one of Wolfgang's classic dishes before creating her take on a spicy seafood dish in a bid to have it placed on the menu."

"After cooking mostly virtually from my kitchen with some of the best chefs for the last four years, I was thrilled to step into their world," Gomez. "You'll have to see if being in person helped my skills at all."

"Selena's culinary journey has riveted viewers from day one as she has elevated her kitchen skills on her Emmy-nominated series, ‘Selena + Chef,'" Betsy Ayala of Food Network stated.
