Ja Morant of the Grizzlies loses $40 million after failing to make All-NBA.

Wednesday was Decision Day for Memphis Grizzlies standout guard Ja Morant, with $40 million on the line. 

Morant needs to be named All-NBA in order for the contract he signed last summer to be upgraded to super max. 

and two steals per game this season for a Grizzlies club that finished second in the West for the second year in a row, 

Morant did not make any of the three All-NBA teams revealed on Wednesday. 

Morant's problem this year was not on the court. 

Morant's off-court issues, particularly an eight-game suspension for displaying a gun in a Colorado nightclub late in the season, are likely to have cost him a large contract.
