Bears' offseason calendar updates as mandatory minicamp approaches.

As the Bears prepare rookie quarterback Caleb Williams and the club for the season, the offseason continues. Mandatory minicamp follows.

The Bears' offseason calendar through Week 1 is updated here. All players must be at Halas Hall for summer work for the first time.

The coaches will establish schemes in the classroom before players go on the field for walkthroughs and 7-on-7 or 11-on-11 drills. If players miss, the team may fine them, unless it's a justification.

This is when the team works hardest to prepare emotionally and physically for Week 1. Team practice will progress from shorts and tee shirts to shells and full pads. The team will practice “live” tackling for the first time, if Eberflus decides.

Official training camp report dates have not been released, but the Bears can start camp early due to the next item on this list.

The August Hall of Fame game kicks off the Bears' preseason. New Bears Hall of Famers Steve McMichael, Devin Hester, and Julius Peppers will be honored throughout the weekend.

On Thursday night, they'll play the Houston Texans at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton.

The Bears will play four warmups this year instead of four since the Hall of Fame does not replace a preseason game. The additional game will allow coaches a week to prepare for the regular season and evaluate roster candidates.
