10 Gin Cocktails to Lift Your Spirits

Classic Gin and Tonic: Fill a glass with ice, add 2 oz of your preferred gin, top with tonic water, and garnish with a lime wedge. 

Martini: In a mixing glass filled with ice, combine 2 1/2 oz gin and 1/2 oz dry vermouth. Stir until well-chilled, then strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lemon twist or olive. 

Negroni: In an ice-filled mixing glass, combine equal parts gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth (typically 1 oz each). Stir well, then strain into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with an orange twist. 

French 75: In a shaker, combine 1 1/2 oz gin, 3/4 oz lemon juice, and 1/2 oz simple syrup. Shake well, then strain into a champagne flute.  

Gin Sour: In a shaker, combine 2 oz gin, 3/4 oz lemon juice, and 1/2 oz simple syrup. Shake well, then strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a cherry or lemon wheel. 

Gimlet: In a shaker, combine 2 oz gin and 3/4 oz lime juice. Shake well with ice, then strain into a chilled martini glass or over ice in a rocks glass.  

Tom Collins: In a shaker, combine 2 oz gin, 1 oz lemon juice, and 1/2 oz simple syrup. Shake well, then strain into a Collins glass filled with ice. Top with club soda and garnish with a lemon slice. 

Aviation: In a shaker, combine 2 oz gin, 3/4 oz lemon juice, 1/2 oz maraschino liqueur, and 1/4 oz crème de violette.
